Lens Design
Weighing less than 3 lb and measuring 10.1", the lens design is optimized for handheld use. The 5.5 stops of optical image stabilization further aids handheld use by compensating for camera shake. In situations where extra stability is required, the tripod collar foot is Arca-type compatible for use with tripods and monopods.

The optical design comprises five extra-low dispersion elements and two super extra-low dispersion elements, which help to reduce distortions and color aberrations typically found in lenses of this length.
