Quick Overview

The Sanyo Xacti VPC-TH1 certainly looks the part, and has an attractive price to boot. Combined with a healthy, no-nonsense approach to filming, it has the potential to be the ideal budget hi-def option.

Product Description

Sanyo Xacti VPC-TH1 compact HD model is compatible with 720p (1280x720) and is able to record at 30 frames per second. All footage is recorded directly to SDHC memory cards for ultimate portability. It also takes HD-quality photos, putting high definition into the palm of anyone who uses this Xacti Dual Camera.

The TH1 comes with a 30x optical zoom lens which delivers a 35mm equivalent focal range of 43 to 1290mm. This means that you can bring all the faraway actions right up close and view it on the 3.0-inch widescreen LCD of the TH1. With Face Chaser technology, the Xacti TH1 can detect up to 12 faces for photos and videos for accurate exposure and focusing.

The TH1 is extremely lightweight at only 269g (approx.) with battery and memory card loaded. This will be appreciated given the long battery life of the TH1 which is capable of up to 3 hours and 20 minutes of recording time. It also comes with an HDMI output to allow you to playback your footage directly to your HD TV.
